    Default George Steinbrenner dead at age 80

    Legendary Yankees owner George Steinbrenner died this morning after suffering a massive heart attack.

    Steinbrenner, who turned 80 on July 4, was rushed to a hospital Monday night, according to Tampa Bay Online.

    As a die-hard Yankee fan his death upset me more than I thought it would. The Boss was a piece of work, but he revitalized the Yanks and turned them into the world's most successful franchise. R.I.P. George.
