Club where Larry Johnson (allegedly) spat on woman gets sued

Here's an interesting post-script to one of the various off-field incidents involving former Chiefs running back Larry Johnson.
Last year, he allegedly spat on and threatened to kill a woman at a Kansas City club.
Johnson faced criminal charges for the incident, and he has been sued by the woman in civil court.
Now, the woman is suing the bar where the incident happened.
Per TMZ.com, Ashley Stewart claims that Blonde Nightclub knew or should have known that Johnson intended to raise a ruckus on the evening in question. She alleges that a caller warned the club that Johnson was on his way, that he'd been drinking, and that he'd been causing trouble.
Though Johnson is primarily responsible for his own actions, the law imposes liability at times on those who had knowledge of a potential problem and failed to take reasonable measures to prevent harm.
The concept of harm is also an issue here, since Stewart was by all appearances not physically injured.
The whole thing would be a lot more interesting to me (but not necessarily to you) if I hadn't quit practicing law to do this full time.
Holy crap. I just realized I quit practicing law to do this full time.
