Hey don't knock Sweden.. if I remember correctly, they put up a hell of a fight each time they're on the ice.. I know Canada fought them tooth and nail a couple years before barely beating them.

I am not knocking Sweden, but I think Finland is ranked 3rd and Sweden was ranked 4th.
Awesome game, and that has to be one of the big upsets of the Olympics...

No, actually most of our athletes live at or below the poverty line...it's kind of sad really.
The US athletes get all the high-tech gizmos and widgets and Nike shoes

Ok Monkey, fair enough, BUT if we do this on a per capita basis
USA 223 million divided by 102 medals = 2.2 medals per million
Canada 24 million divided by 12 = 2 medals per million
2004 Winter Games in Salt Lake
3. USA 10 13 11 = 35 divided by 223 million = .16 medals per million
4. Canada 7 3 7 = 17 divided by 24 million = .71 medals per million
