Florida ranked preseason #1
Rivals.com Staff
Rivals.com presents its 2009 countdown, ranking the teams from first through No. 120.
After that, you won't see any team rankings from Rivals until early October. The reason: We will wait until enough games have been played so we can legitimately rank the teams.
Rivals.com Preseason Top 120 Countdown
1. Florida
Much like the 2008-09 North Carolina basketball team, this season will be somewhat of a disappointment if the Gators don't win the national title. At the least, they should be in Pasadena, Calif., playing for it all on Jan. 7. [ 2009 season preview ]

God I swear I'm the girliest, unsportiest girl ever but I love me some Gator football. I miss Spurrier's Fun 'n Gun years *sniffle*
Anyhow, very cool we were ranked #1.

just a quick update - we're still #1 but we've played two non-sec, cheeseball teams.

What's the difference between God and Steve Spurrier?
God doesn't think he's Steve Spurrier.

Yeah, these two wins have felt a little empty because the teams are basically paid to lose, the poor suckers...the sacrificial lamb type teams. But it's still exciting to kick off the season anyway.
I watched the UCLA Tennessee game and I know that it's better for us if Tennessee won but hand to God I just couldn't bring myself to cheer for those orange creamsicle-colored hillbillies to win. My anti-UT feelings run deep!
