Well you know rumors... perhaps she just got the AIDS from having relations with that sleaze of a husband. I read that her family couldn't even see her in the hospital when she was dying, and prior to that when she was very ill at different times in the last few years before her death.

That's not true. Before meeting her husband, she's had a boyfriend in the USA and got aids from him without knowing. Ofra's husband got the aids from her. On the last months of her life, her family prevented her from getting medical help and left her in a coma in her house for weeks, until she was dying - only then she got to the hospital and died a few days after.

Thanks... now we know why there were all those false rumors for a long time about her having died, until she finally did and then it was really kind of just a blip on the screen (here anyway).

No problems. She died because of her crazy, primitive family. Real tragedy that could have been easily prevented.

she couldnt have got it before her marriage. as her close friend and manager for ~30 years said she used to make a blood test every year, just to see that everything is ok ever since she was very young. He said that he knows
for sure she did not have AIDS up until she got married. it was not her family who prevented her getting medical help but her husband. she only fell into coma at the hospital after her sister Shuli got a desperate phone call from her. i dont know where you get the fact that Ofra had a boyfriend with AIDS before marriage.

Ofra didnt have a boyfriend from USA before her marriage. Bezalel Aloni, who was Ofra's manager for 30 years said that Ofra used to make a blood test every year, just to see that everything is ok ever since she was very young.

However she contracted the virus, it is a shame that such a beautiful and talented woman is dead. I had never heard of her or her music until I opened this thread, and I think she has one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard.

Glad to see more people getting into her music. She was indeed one of the greatest.

And as for Ofra's nose - I made my research. she has had only one nose job in 78.
