Something odd has happened to Kathleen Turner's schnoz since her Romancing the Stone days. It seems to go beyond a little weight gain and age. OneDataTime suggests it might be "boozy nose"...

Atleast she isn't denying bad plastic surgery like Michael Douglas.

I think she admits to having had a serious alcohol problem and that probably is what happened to her nose.

Alcoholism over many years can change a nose and make it large, lumpy and sometimes red with broken capillaries.

Yes, i've heard of that before. My mom always tried to scare me by saying if I drank i'd turn out like Auntie Lydia. Gut and all. That comes from yeeeeears of alcohol abuse.

She also has a serious health condition, rheumatoid arthritis, and takes steroids. They definitely cause your face to blow up.

They also say your ears and nose never stops growing, which is why old people have large ears/noses.

I think Karl Malden and Walter Matthau, but they both had large noses to begin with.

To me her nose didn't really get bigger; it got flatter and wider

Well known booze noses (beside the obvious W.C. Fields) : Mel Gibson, Errol Flynn..... anybody know another one?

Especially men's ears and noses keep growing in old age....

I had read several times that she broke her nose while filming this crap movied called V.I. Warshawski. That plus the steroids for her condition would be enough to cause the change to her nose. I think she's also said that she has been hurt by people speculating that the change in her physical appearance is due to her being a big boozehound; she attributes it mostly to her health problems (and aging, obviously).
