did she?

I had a classmate with that nose in the first picture. She was Polish, also. Another classmate said, "Hey, Marisa, what do you call a Polish person's nose?" And she beat them to the punchline gesturing down her nose with her finger, saying, "A skiiiiiiii slope."
I know this is going to sound really weird, but growing up in and around Chicago, there is a huge Polish population and the women make me sick with envy because most of them are so gorgeous - leggy, icy blonde, great bone structure, etc. When they go to the club, they bring it - not just what they wear, but how they wear it, how they walk - the whole deal. Think a younger Joanna Krupa (Chicago girl) before all the weirdness, but even prettier than that. So when I see these young female celebs from Poland, I'm baffled. I'm baffled mostly by the hatchet job plastic surgeries.
This girl was cute in the first pic. In the second pic, I would have paid to fix that nose. She looks like Lisa Welchel who I think had her original nose which worked well enough on her face.

Exactly!
I tried twice to post a pic of her and something is going awry, but yes, she had the cheekbones, et al.

Yeah, I thought she was ridiculously beautiful. Still looks good even at 60 (I saw her Facebook page when I Googled).
ETA - I realized many years later that I didn't appreciate how good looking my classmate Marisa was. Her older brother Peter told me when I was in 6th grade that she liked me, but I didn't do anything about it. The whole family was brilliant. She is some kind of researcher in the midwest, and her brother Peter is a physician in the same office/practice as my brother's wife.
Yeah, when I googled she looks great now, too.
It's funny how when you look at someone else's yearbook and you say someone's really attractive and you find out they were kind of a "nobody" and then they point out the popular kids they don't look that great. I just mean, it's funny we don't perceive attractiveness the same way as adults as we do when we're kids.

It sure looks like it, but I thought Hope was actually British born or something. I remember there was a Trivial Pursuit question that asked which celebrity once boxed under the name "Packy East" (it was Hope). My mom was playing my brother and me and was stuck with the ridiculous question, which she got wrong. Years later, we would occasionally call her "Packy" as an inside joke.
LOL, Packy East. Great name. Hope was British born, but became a US citizen.
