Oh yes, they took far to much of her nose away though. Her old nose was way more in proportion with the rest of her features. The flatness of her face seems far too dominant now.

And some eyebrows would help too!
I find her good-looking in a very boring way

What you've got are two completely different lighting situations and photos obviously taken several years apart.
I'm not convinced she has had a nose job, but the photos certainly exaggerate any changes that have been made.

But look at the nostrils, in the 2nd pic it looks like they "begin" a lot higher on the nose than in the 1st pic (I don't know if I could explain what I meant ), and I doubt this difference can be just due to the lighting or the make up.

I'm sorry, I don't see any difference in the nostrils. If anything, the bridge and tip appear thinner...but again, that could be due to lighting. I'm not saying she didn't have a nose job, but I'm not convinced.

Surgery or no, she looks awful in both sets of pix.

She possesses a certain frosty attractiveness, but individually I do not find any of her facial features pretty.

Gwyneth is a natural beauty.
She is blessed with some good genes from her mother.
She should age quite gracefully.
I also adore her slight speech impediment.
But--I also like Kirsten Dunst's and Patricia Arquette's teeth.
Imperfections are interesting.
It's what makes us different that makes us beautiful.

So why'd she get a nose job?

She got a very subtle nose job. I had to put the two pix side-by-side to see it, but the PS she had is as plain as the nose on her face. (pun fully intended) I'm not sure why she felt the need to, her old nose was in proportion. The new nose makes her look older (and, yeah, I know she actually IS older in the post-PS pic).

She looks like two completely different people in those pics... everything is different. And I agree about the lighting, the "now" picture is too washed out and the "then" is too shadowy to really compare them.

if you said her nosed get fixed to be a bit skinnier, what about her eyelids and lips? Would you say her eyelids & lips were fixed to be bigger when she was young? ;-)
in my opnion, she just look skinnier in the newer pictures.

The thing is, she's probably over 18 in the first pic, and 32-33 in the second. Not that much happens with your nose in those years. I don't believe it could get that much "thinner" naturally. It would need "help"
But I agree it is very subtle.
