I have been watching Bates motel since last year and a few weeks ago they introduced a new character , George. At first I was struck at how much he reminded me of that guy from the movie," :Never been kissed". For a while now I thought it was a relative like an older, less cute older brother. Sounded the same, same speech patterns but something different than Michael Varten. So I finally googled it hoping to find out who it was and ....holy crap....it's Michael Varten himself!
To me it looks like a nose job...but a search on the web suggest he's changed his nose more than once?

He's a twoface. In one pic he's handsome, in the next he looks like drugged up Matthew Perry. He was hot in Monster Inlaw.

I saw one episode a that show and thought...hmmmm...that guy looks like that one guy. Then he spoke (celebrity voice recognition is like a game at my house which I never lose) and I about fell off the couch! I literally could not believe it was him though, he was unrecognizable. I had to Google.

And I think he made the bridge and entire length of his nose thinner. It looks sharp!

Oh thank you! I had the exact same thoughts as you. Kind of looks like a brother and then when I heard him speak.....I still can't believe it's him. He looks like he's wearing a prosthetic nose....why would someone make their nose bigger!

OMG - That's the first thing I thought when I saw that picture too!

My guess, just from looking at the session of photos is that he had a (bad) nose job, the nasal folds collapsed, and he (tried) to get it corrected by adding cartilage/structure to the tip? I don't know...

I think a lot of these Hollywood actors develop Body Dysmorphic Disorder and become obsessed over perceived flaws. And the PS doctors in that town are like vultures, lying in wait for the first insecure A-Z lister to come knockin' on their doors.

I'm so glad to hear that others have noticed the same thing! LOL I had read he would be on the show this season and kept looking for him. And I thought the character George looked similar but was like "naaaah that guy just looks different". So i googled him too and was like what the fuck, that IS MV!!

He really does look very different to me on the show. I couldn't place what was different about him though. But it's certainly noticeable.

You may be right - I never thought of this. There has been more than one celeb with an altered nose due to coke abuse.

I remember reading about a plastic surgeon in hollywood (I think) who said that many nose surgeries he performed are not because of the looks but because of damage from coke.
