It's probably pretty good. I've had a smoothie thickened with avocado and it was wonderful.

that's true. that's another thing i learned in chile - that avocados could be sweetened. it had just never occurred to me before, having always eaten avocados plain or mixed with savoury stuff. but chileans put avocado in everything and anything and a typical after school snack or breakfast for kids over there is a milk and avocado smoothie. of course chileans ruin it by putting too much sugar in it, the way they ruin every dessert. but if you put in smaller amounts of sugar the avo milkshakes are delicious.

I would definitely try this and most likely enjoy it. There are a ton of vegan cafes in my area and the desserts they make are delicious.

I would def try this. The date and cocoa brownies sound wonderful. I am going to try and find a recipe for them.

    Here you go, sprynkles!

They're really good, but make sure they're moist (you'll know, because they're no-bake). You can just keep adding more date if they're too dry. And you need a really potent food processor. I almost killed a blender grinding up the dates, and ended up chopping them to bits by hand - which works, to be fair.

Choc Mousse needs beaten egg whites with soft peaks, end of story.

Mo - let your avocados ripen on the counter for 3 days or if you want a ripened one, make sure it's dark green and you can squeeze it.

I make this all the time with various substitutions for the milk and sweetener. Its a great way to get the benefits of avocado and cure the chocolate fix. Never forget the vanilla and sweetener though, without them all you taste is the avocado and bitter cocoa.
Its so quick and simple. It really does have the consistency of mousse if you puree it well but its thick like pudding.
