Beer Roasted Cat
BEER ROASTED CAT
1 cat cut into roast
1 can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup
1 cube of beef bouillon
1 clove of garlic
1 Fine Irish Stout, like Guinness
Cover and soak cat roast in salt water for 24 hours. Drain water and then cover and soak in beer for 6 hours. Drain and place in crock pot with your cans of soup. Add a clove of garlic, and a cube of beef bouillon. If you start to slow cook your cat in the morning ..., you'll have finely cooked feline in time for supper.
If a slow cooker is not available, a cat can be baked at 350 degrees for 2-3 hours in a conventional oven and still come out pretty good. Beer Roasted Cat is fantastic served with mashed potatoes, collard greens, and fresh, homemade egg rolls. When planning a full meal just remember- cat is a course best served hot!
Cat may not be the most glamorous, or tastiest of game meats, but with a little thought and preparation, Baked Cat can make the belly of the persnicketiest diner glow with home baked goodness.

It is a JOKE RECIPE people!

Re: Beer Roasted Cat
Oh it's a joke? Oh really? Well, why am I not laughing, then? Maybe because there plenty of sickos and twisted folks in the world who might think placing a cat in an oven or a slow cooker is a damn fine idea. Sorry if my sense of humor is not sufficiently evolved, but animal torture is not my cup of tea.

I'm an animal lover, and I thought that was pretty funny.

Re: Beer Roasted Cat
Like I said, maybe I'm not sophisticated enough. Torturing defenseless animals is not amusing to me--maybe because a lot of times I like animals better than people. A few years ago, there was a story in the news about a bunch of sadistic rednecks trying to barbecue a kitten on an outdoor grill. A neighbor tried to save the kitten, but the kitten died anyway. Are you guys laughing your heads off now and wishing you had the video?

of course not.(the laughing part) It is only funny because it is being told in humor and IS NOT being based on something real. It is a fake recipe and a fake pic of a doggie in a microwave. Anything based on something in reallife(like your redneck story) is NOT funny. the doggie actually looks like Checkers.

Some people are sensitive. I can understand Edie being offended.

Re: Beer Roasted Cat
I understand, Edie, but I guess the rest of us just don't see it that way. I like to joke about eating babies, for example, which would be horrible if I actually did; but it's not like I'm actually out there sautéeing the delicious little bastards.

and I know EXACTLY which one you are talking about! hehehe..
All of my postings here in this thread are for purposes of humor only...i DO NOT want anyone to cook cat or put cute doggies that look like Checkers(the Famous Nixon dog and also lookalike and same name as my little 6 year old girlfriends dog) in a microwave. Also my 6 year old girlfriend was when I was ALSO SIX ..I am not a pedo! lol
