A lady I worked with in Texas made a similar recipe but instead of mayo used cream cheese and added tuna before stuffing the peppers. She called them TUNA FARTS. They were suprisingly tasty.
Saw this and thought of Cinco de Mayo so here it is!![]()

Im ashamed to say what I did for a klondike bar...
Hmm...I'm having a party soon. I'm just imagining serving my friends "tuna farts." They do sound good, tho.
They are so good~! I made them for Thanksgiving appetizers once and my sister and best friend almost finished them while we were cooking. The cheeses allow you to really enjoy the flavors because the heat of the jalapeno is softened by eating with dairy. I was introduced to them years ago when we were having a party at work and everyone BEGGED my coworker Patsy to "bring tuna farts" again. As you can imagine, I was wary! I don't like fishy things, farts or cutesy names. I was hooked though!Originally Posted by pacific breeze
They sound a bit lite jalapeno poppers, only better. I may have to actually make these once I lose a few pounds of winter weight.
