    Default Bacon Scones

I just found this recipe on line and want to try it. Anyone know if I can use skim milk in place of regular milk?

    SAVORY SCONES

Preheat oven to 450F. In 12-in. skillet, cook bacon on medium until browned. Drain on paper towels; crumble. Transfer bacon and c. fat to lg. bowl. Mix in 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 Tbsp. baking powder, c. finely chopped green onions, and tsp. each salt and pepper. Stir in c. milk. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 20.

I don't know about the milk, but these sound delish! I had a cheese onion scone and it was amazing.

Skim shouldn't affect it at all.

Why bother with skim milk given the bacon and fat. They sound yummy!

I only have skim milk in my house and didn't want to go out just to buy more milk. They came out great! I will be taking them to the office in the morning so that I don't eat all of them.

I feel like they make a nice appetizer if you make them a little smaller or a nice breakfast.
