I rely on OPI Nail Envy, it makes my nails rock hard. It's expensive but it genuinely works! The bottle does last a long time too.
I can get a full manicure and pedicure with the colour(s) of my choice at my local Vietnamese nailbar for $20. Nuff said.

I'm wearing NYC's black right now...
I heard they tested on animals, though... must confirm. I use their pressed and loose powder in translucent.

Come on, let's have lots of drinks.
I hardly purchase color nail polish anymore. Before I used cheap nail polish and most last about a week without chipping when I used a base and top coat and sometimes a little less.
I'm tired of all this nonsense about beauty being only skin-deep.
That's deep enough. What do you want, an adorable pancreas?---Jean Kerr
So I painted mine Sunday night and used a base/ top coat from Sally Hansen called Double Duty I think... I work with paper all day, I've done dishes without gloves (I don't know what box I packed them in)... no chips, fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!
Holy shit, another day another sink full of dishes another messy desk and still my black polish is infallible... wtf?!!?!!?!!!!!!!!!111
Seriously, I'm wondering how much remover I'll have to use to get this shit off. Tonight I slapped on another top coat and waited a minute poured a glass of wine sat outside to smoke went to reach for my lighter and hit the wicker chair with my ringfinger; not a chip or smudge, in fact I took the paint off the chair... I'll wait until tomorrow to try and rub it off.
I'm going to send some emails to NYC regarding any animal testing because I would hate to have to stop purchasing their products; their nail polish and the sally hansen double duty base & top coat (I believe they're still barbaric as well) fucking kick ass.

My favorite nail polish is actually a $2.95 bottle from Claires.
Gotta join in on the NYC love. I bought some after reading this thread and can agree with the 'no chips' I've been wearing a wicked pink colour for aout 5 days now and admittedly it has worn away at the tips, but considering I haven't touched it up and been openng cans, washing up, typing, working and just generally living, it's pretty fantastic! It dries quick too.
And it's on offer for 3 for 2, so I can get 3 bottles for £4.00 ($8.00)
I don't work for them, honest![]()
I cant do polish on my fingernails--it chips within the day no matter what![]()
For toenail polish I'm usually the same as I dance, but I found Sally Hansen No Chip 10 Day Nail Color from the grocery does last forever--it's the best I've ever tried.

Awesome!!! I'm so glad they don't test on animals.
Has anyone tried their makeup? I've used their lip gloss, and it's just as good as MAC (imo), but what about their mineral makeup or foundation?
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
I use their translucent pressed and loose powder.

I bought some £1 (or so) lizzie nail varnishes the other day and they are the best I have ever used...ever!
