Makes me think of Bath & Body works... regarding that particular company I love how their bottles say " This finished product not tested on animals"

I can't handle their strong smell either. Makes you wonder how much fragrance they put in their products. It doesn't seem as popular now, like back in the olden days, I remember there were two stores on Robson, and even at the mall (Metrotown) there were two!

I was so disappointed when i discovered that they use parabens in their stuff. It's a pity cause i love their products especially the shampoo bars and masks

i used to work next door to this store and the smell is nauseating...
their face masks are my favorite ever. the chocolate cake batter something-or-other does wonders for my skin. they say its all so natural you could eat it but i doubt it tastes good at all. hah!

I recently just trashed all of my drug store type products and I am an official LUSHy!!!
I can't live without my Aqua Marina, Enzymion and Gorgeous.
Fabulous stuff. The store smell is very overpowering. I usually research what I want online then rush in and out of the store as fast as possible.
I'm going to use this stuff forever and ever from now on...it just feels like my skin is thanking me for not using the drug store crap anymore. I know they still have a few not so natural ingredients...but LUSH products are far better than any drug store soaps/moisturizers I've ever tried.
I've also used a couple of the bath bombs ...but they are trial and error. Some are lovely...other WAY too strong.

Going to check them out today, just found out there is a store nearby, and I read they have a foot cream that is really good for soothing sore feet. I'll probably end up playing in there for awhile too. I'm so not a bath person, so all the bath bomb problems aren't a concern for me.

I hate when companies try to jump on the natural or organic bandwagon when they're not
I was interested when I saw the products but was turned off by the price. I can get the same for cheaper.

John Constantine who started Lush originally started Cosmetics to Go; he worked for Body Shop for 15 yrs from the early 70's creating their shit until AR decided in the 90's that they must own the interlectual property rights, bought him out etc - then came cosmetics to go, then Lush.
So in that sense he was the original bandwagon.
He's an interesting bloke & if you want to read more... Clean Scrub - Forbes.com
As for the price the fluctuation in the exchange rate won't help but he sources and pays fair trade rates for what he buys and you don't always get that with a) cheaper or b) body shop.
