Burt's bees, nivea and blistex all make my lips peel like crazy. Wtf.

I am addicted to lip balm. Must have it at all times or I become nutty anxious and can think of nothing else. We did a lip balm thread years ago - don't know if it was GR or one of our earlier versions - and SVZ was explaining what was in everything. I remember Grimm kept telling everybody to just use lotion because lip skin is SKIN. I'm so addicted that I remember these things.

These days, I use a couple of bath & bodyworks balms, but mostly some of their gloppy lip gloss. It's like glue and takes a long time to wear off. (Long for me is about 3 hours.) Not sure how much good it actually does but it stops my jonesin'.

I like Aquafor. My lips get dry easily and it makes them super soft and moisturized. Too much does make them greasy though, but you don't need much.

I love love love Blistex lip tone lip balm. It has a slight coco pink tint that will make your lips look rosy but still natural. I can't find them anywhere these days.


Other lip balms that I use: Co Bigelow rose salve & Banana boat

Also love Burt's Bees. The one with peppermint oil.

I use a greek brand lip balm so you wouldn't know it. It contains organic bees wax and olive oil and it's the best I have ever tried!

If you have really chapped or dry lips, remember to moidten them before you slap on anything. Wet a paper towel, hold between lips for a few minutes, then use the balm. It really makes a big difference.

I've noticed a lot of people are mentioning stuff in pots. I've never gone for those because you have to put them on with your finger, but maybe I should re-think that.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Swivel Stick. I've tried others, but none compare. They make my lips sting and peel. Maybe it's the spf ingredient in some balms that causes that to happen. I like that the tube is big and fat. Just schmear it on, it's colorless so also use it above the lip line.
