Just discovered the best mascara in the world...probably!

d.j.v Beautenizer Volume Lash is just about perfect - not too wet, not too dry, precise brush to catch all the hairs, lengthens and thickens in one coat, doesn't flake or smudge yet washes off really easily...seriously, I can't praise this stuff enough!

I was a Voluminous devotee for years so if you like that chances are you'll love this.

^ I saw that at Sephora and was going to grab it. It got pretty good reviews at makeupalley

I picked up a tube of Voluminous Power Volume 24 Hour, about a month ago. It's pretty good.

I bought Voluminous based on all the rave reviews here (maybe it was the other thread) but it gives me raccoon eyes. Within about an hour of applying it I get black smudges under my eyes. Is there a particular formula that's better? I think I got the Carbon Black, and I don't think it was the waterproof.

Oh really. It's just got to be wrong that my daily makeup bag hold about six concealers and four mascaras. Is there rehab for these things?

Just gonna have to buy them.

Doh! Ah well, another one bites the dust.

I've actually had really good luck with CoverGirl (Eyelights? is it?) with the ruby tint for green eyes. I always favoured Chanel Definicils and I don't usually go for CoverGirl but it works a treat and never runs, flakes or smudges on me. It doesn't have super lash-boosting power, but my lashes are pretty teeny so I don't know that there's that much I can do. I think a curler and a small defining brush with good colour is my best bet.

Nth-ing L'Oreal Voluminous... After many trial runs with other brands, it's my default. Rich coverage without clumping.

I love original Voluminous, but Carbon Black is smudgy. VERY smudgy.

I also agree on Carbon Black, weird that we've all had the same result.

Well, damn. Worth giving the original a try, though?

Australia has bugger all range availabe here

but Dior Blackout is my favourite, no lengthening or trashy clumped look!

I've decided it's more about the brush than anything else. You need longer, thicker bristles for volume and then thinner short ones to pick up the little lashes. On that basis Lancôme Hypnose is about the best.

I say yes. I've tried almost every drugstore mascara out there and some high end ones and I always come back to Voluminous.
