Okay, I love this stuff. My hair was just becoming so
dry and just ugly looking despite using only professional
products. I saw an infomercial about Wen hair care. I
had to try it. It is pretty spendy. I made my purchase
on Ebay, but Amazon looks like a good place to order.
It's just like putting conditioner on. No lather, no soap
in the eye. You leave it on like a condtioner throughout your
shower then really rinse well.
Amazing! My hair has been tamed. The shine is incredible.
I will never go back to shampoo rinse then condtion.
On the downside, it took awhile to get used to the scent.
Since there is little perfume in it, it smells almost medicinal.
But just while it's on in the shower. But the shine, my gawd
the shine. I still do a weekly deep condtion, and sometimes
put on condtioner in the shower for a final rinse. I can go
everyother day and my hair does not feel weighed down or
oily.
It comes in Lavander, Sweet Almond Mint, Cuccumber Aloe,
Green Tea and Fig. I love the Fig, and have tried the Cuccumber.
I use the Cuccumber to clean my face. Love it.

Just looking at the ingredients there isn't much that seperates it from a conditioner.

So try just using a conditioner and seeing if you get the same results, might be lighter on the wallet!

I bought the 4 pack to try it out b/c I have a friend who swears by it. At first, I thought my hair looked pretty awesome, lots of volume, shiny, soft, etc. As time went on it just started to look more and more greasy. I went back to shampoo, but use the stuff I have left as a conditioner. I wash my hair and then let the Wen sit on my hair for about 5 minutes before I rinse it again. That way I get clean hair and the silkiness of the conditioner and I don't feel like I wasted $80.

I skip shampoo quite often because my hair is dry and just use conditioner. This might be a good alternative, though I'll have to check pricing. If I want the rest of my goals to work out, I have to stick to the budget - funny how those few dollars her and there really do add up.

ETA: The lowest price I saw at Amazon for 1 lavender bottle is $52.

You can get a 16 oz bottle of the lavender from, of all places, QVC, for $28 + $5 shipping.

Oops, nevermind. Lavender is apparently sold out and waitlisted. The other scents are available though. When I bought it I got the pack of 4 for $84. Yes, expensive, but I've been using it for almost a year now and still have about 1 3/4 bottles left. Again, I don't use it as a shampoo, so I only use 3-4 pumps per wash. If you use it for cleansing you can use up to 40 pumps per wash depending on how long your hair is.

My friend tried it for awhile. She set up the automatic shipments directly from their website after getting it on QVC. She loved it at first but after about 2 months she felt like her hair was greasy. Plus she has psoriasis and she started having issues with that.

I've been tempted to try it since my hair is so dry and coarse. I usually wash my hair every other day and always leave the conditioner on while I'm showering. It gets at least 10 minutes to soak in.
