Default Clarins Advanced Extra Firming Neck Cream is AMAZING

Sephora: Clarins Advanced Extra-Firming Neck Cream: Age Control

I thought this was total BS and wasn't ready to pony-up $70 for it. But then I started noticing that your neck is the ONE place you really have NO options for in terms of repairing ageing and I decided I'd better start taking care of it now. And looking at Britney Spears disgusting neck was further inspiration to take care of it.

So I bought it on eBay for $30 to give it a try.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!! It feels sooo good on your neck, and it works. It lasts for awhile and smells really nice. I guess I never noticed how dry and yucky my neck was until I started using this product-- I never thought about my neck. But now I am addicted. This product rocks. I won't buy it for $70, but I'll keep getting it from eBay. Read below about that.

I highly reccomend getting it on eBay, but make sure that you look on Sephora to see what the jar looks like, and only buy the ones with that exact jar. I found MANY entries on eBay that had a different jar, or jars that came in sizes that aren't sold, and I know those are counterfeits. So be careful, but do give it a try. This neck cream rocks. And I put it on my chest as well. Good stuff.

Clarins is fabulous, period. If I had the money, I'd get Clarins EVERYTHING.

Cali, is it going to work on MY neck though?! I was just thinking I need something stronger than the health food store stuff I've been using

I agree, it's a great product. It's very light and just slides on without that horrible 'dragging' thing you get with so many gloopy moisturizers and which is the very last thing you need on a neck that's heading south fast. You only need a small amount too and it's quite a large jar so I'd say it's worth the investment or something to put on Santa's list.

^Thanks. It's always good to get direct reviews when investing in something expensive.

Been using Retin A on my neck - minimizes the wrinkles and has a tightening effect. Insurance covers part of the price - less than the cost of Clarins.

If you want a quick 'tightening' fix then there's always good old haemorrhoid cream, eg, Preparation H. Works on eye bags too. Seriously.

OMG, never heard of this. Doesn't it irritate the eyes? Does it help get rid of the darkness?

It doesn't irritate the eyes unless you get it in your eyes. It works quite well. It's an old trick.

I went to my doctor for a script for retin A and he didn't know what I was talking about so I felt like an idiot.

You shouldn't feel like an idiot, he's the one who obviously hasn't been doing his reading.

^^And get this, he then looked in his journal and still couldn't find what I was talking about! I may have to go to a different doctor just to get a script. What exactly do I ask for PB?

Obviously you have to be careful not to get it in your eyes and if you have sensitive skin then perhaps do a spot test on your wrist but I've never had a problem. If you think about it your arse is pretty sensitive so I doubt the cream has anything too harsh in it. Don't know about darkness - I think that's more to do with tiredness, genetics and perhaps being a bit run down? - but it does 'tighten' and reduce puffiness (temporarily) around the eyes. There are lots of haemorrhoid creams out there, but the one I use is the traditional and cheapo Preparation H.
