    Default Lancôme Grandiose Mascara

i could put this in the general mascara thread but this baby deserves its own thread.

This is the BEST mascara I've ever used, and I've tried them all. The compact brush picks up every tiny lash and the swan neck shape allows you to get right in to every angle. Genius. Not cheap but worth every cent.
Lancôme Hypnose is good too but the clever Grandiose brush beats it hands down.

I can't make the leap from the traditional bristle teddy-bear style brush to the synthetic-style brushes. I'm afraid.

My biggest hate is clumping and I like the teddy-bear style brushes for that.

I use this stuff - it is pretty great but pricey, I agree.

I'm always into trying new cosmetics, I'll give this one a whirl. Another great one is Urban Decay's Perversion- best lengthening/thickening mascara I've ever tried and doesn't clump. $22

I'm using Perversion right now too and I absolutely love it.

^^ I've seen some videos on it. I wonder if it would clump on me.

If one says the word mascara, I try it.

I think I wrote I was disappointed with the yet again new formula of Dior Show. Didn't pack a punch. I'll try this one for sure. I do return things I don't like.

I glanced at this the other day and wondered how difficult the wand would be to use. I don't have the best luck with plastic bristles, either, and usually stick to the teddy bear brushes.

It looks like it's about $32 in the U.S., so maybe I can get my hands on a sample before I buy the full size.

The wand looks awkward but actually it's much more ergonomic than a straight one. To get to all the lashes you just rotate it until it "fits" the particular angle you need. I haven't had any probs with clumping.

I use it too!! I like it. It makes application so much easier. I don't mind the price. For certain items, a little bit more cash must be spent to get good effects.

Do you use it with the primer? I can't be bothered to do two steps, so would only use the mascara itself.

I bought this in August and I do like it, think the brush is really good at getting the little lashes in the inner eye, and curves/volumises well, but it's not waterproof AT ALL. Like, will run down your face in rivulets at the first sign of moisture.

YSL mascaras are probably better for that - they wouldn't budge, and they seem just as difficult to get off as this one before bedtime.

This is the craziest, biggest lash mascara ever in modern time. I tested it with the Sephora mascara tester wand - not the wand it comes with. Great formula. Medium dry/wet, not tar-like. Thanks AO
