    Default Dermaroller

Has anyone tried this? I'm going to get one for use on my forehead wrinkles and the enlarged pores on my nose. It's suppose to work on stretch marks and scars as well. The fact that it's a bunch of needles has me a bit freaked out so I'm going to get some topical numbing cream as well. It's suppose to irritate the skin which then causes it to produce collagen. We shall see!

    Here's a video of how it's used:

Love the music on that video.
I've not heard of this yet. Do let us know what you think. It looks like a lot of work to me. But if someone else would do it for me, great!

Meryl doesn't even try anymore. She just calls Lanvin and asks for curtains with a belt.~Bitter

Nooo! Please take that money to a real skin specialist and/or dermatologist. That could damage skin more than help it. Please!

^^Why do you say that? Do you have any experience with it?

I've done a lot of research on it. It's gotten good reviews from a lot of places. There are a ton of videos on YT of real life people who have used it with good results. So we'll see. I will report back!

I don't know about this specific system, but skin needling is very popular and is supposed to give very good results. They do it at my derm's office with much larger needles.

Many derms sell this type of device, but I don't know how well the at home ones work compared to the in office version.

Spelling errors in the video don't inspire a lot of confidence in me.

I'm not buying that specific product. I just grabbed a video that show the process. There are many models of derma rollers on the market.

Here's a website for skin care fanatics. They have quite a few threads devoted to derma rolling. I was interested in this one where you use a smaller sized needles to increase product penetration. You use your roller, then apply product and are suppose to get much better results. There are a some before and after pictures with amazing results.

    Dermarolling for Product Penetration ONLY

FYI: I'm not trying to sell anyone on it. I was just wondering if anyone tried it and what their actual experience was. After all my research, I'm looking forward to using it.

I used dermarollers for a few months. I had them with needles in two sizes. I didn't see any results apart from the skin on my nose peeling all the time so I stopped using it. I hoped it would help against blackheads and big pores but nothing. Besides I had to sneeze like crazy everytime I used it.

Actually, I had an 'experimental' procedure done over a year ago where they used a derma roller combined with some of my own drawn blood to help fight hair loss.

Didn't work though. Didn't know they used it on the face.
