Default Stila Clear Color SPF 8 Product Review

(Neutral Face) Clear Color SPF 8 ($14) has a too-low SPF number (at least as far as the American Academy of Dermatology is concerned) and it lacks the UVA-protecting ingredients of titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, or avobenzone, so basically the sunscreen is next to useless. This is a rather unremarkable product for the usually trendsetting Stila. It's a standard sheer lipstick with an emollient texture and somewhat greasy finish. The colors are attractive (and even the darkest tones go on translucent), but for the money, ordinary formula, and lack of effective sun protection, the excitement factor is deservedly low. Almay's Pure Tints Protective Lip Tint SPF 25 ($4.49) or Neutrogena Moisture MoistureShine Tinted Lip Balm SPF 20 ($7.99) are superior options.
