I've been using it for years!
I don't generally come to this thread, but I must tell you about Cetaphil skin products (no, I don't work for the company that manufactures these products).
Bill is good friends with a co-worker, and co-worker's wife works at a pharmaceutical plant that produces Cetaphil products, so I get them for free.
I personally use Cetaphil's 'Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion' for dry, sensitive skin.
I've been using it for nearly a year as my only moisturizer, and it is wonderful...I don't know what is in it, but I look younger and my skin has never looked better.
The fine lines underneath my eyes and alongside the gaping maw seem to have diminished.
It is fragrance free and non-greasy, for those of you who have sensitive skin or allergies.
I highly recommend that you try this product for a month or two, and see if you notice a difference in your skin's texture.
An 8 ounce (226 gram) tube of this product will set you back maybe about twenty bucks, depending on where you live. Pharmacies carry it.
TIP: When I step out of the bath and have steam on my face, that's when I slather on the Cetaphil. It retains moisture.
Please try it, and let me know how this works for you.
PS Stacy London uses and swears by it, too...does she look 40?!
Cetaphil
OK I went out and bought it..... I got a rash. Freaking figures.
There's nothing good or healthy in Cetaphil products. It's got alcohols, nothing moisturizing, nothing organic, it's been called sludge for your face. The only thing it doesn't have is fragrance, which is a good thing. Dermatologists used to recommend it, the same way they use to recommend Noxema, which had mineral oil. They know better now.
If you have normal to dry skin or over 35 skin, you're better off using a creamy cleanser with a wet wash cloth which will remove makeup and dirt and the cloth is a gentle enough to feel exfoliated on a daily basis.
^^ well rats because my dermatologist told me to use it on my daughter back in the day and I did .. didn't help her either.
I use the cetaphil sensitive skin for my face.. soap used to dry me out too much, and my skin would overcompensate and i'd get constant breakouts.
With cetaphil it's been significantly reduced. I get the occasional but overall my skin isn't stripped of moisture

I bought this - Cetaphil's 'Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion' and for a few days I thought it was going to work - then I got a nasty rash.. it wasn't a break out it was hives. I'm back to Dove soap. I wanted to try it though because I figure I'm getting older and need moisture in my skin.
I have used the lotion for years without a problem and I have to boast of great skin always get compliments.
Dove dries the shit out of my skin

Cetaphil face wash gave me scaly patches on my skin. I never had that problem before I started nor since I stopped using it.
I use Cetaphil body lotion because it's so creamy, moisturizing, fragrance-free, and okay for very sensitive skin.
I can't use any of their products on my face, though. They break me out something fierce.
my docs have recommended Cetaphil after surgeries and chemical peels for years. We ask pts not to wash their face for a week, just rinse with water, especially with the stronger peels.
