I don't think you can pin this entirely on that new VP. I think the fact that they hired her in the first place is an indication that the pro-lifers in the organization were gaining the upper hand. I imagine that at least a few people had to agree with and support this ridiculous decision to de-fund PP.

I'm glad they are getting called on their bullshit, too, and I hope more people on the inside drop a dime on whatever has been going on.

Oh, no I don't believe this is due to ONE person. This is obviously the feeling of the majority of the folks at SGK. And that's why we can't trust in what they say even if they do change their minds on this stance. Fuck them.

I just went and made my donation, I do NOT remember the last time something has pissed me off like this!

I don't know if any of you guys mentioned this yet, but I saw it in my Washington Post this morning. Apparently, Komen is now saying that they are also withdrawing funds from PP because PP itself doesn't do the mammograms. Instead, they will be giving the funds that they are withholding from PP diretly to clinics that perform mammograms.

It sounds like damage control since I don't believe that was provided as a reason in their original statements. The Post article really highlights the firestorm that has erupted over this. I only got a chance to read the part of the articla that was on the front page,
