I'd rather the lesser of 2 evils with a modern social progress platform than some regressive, right-wing christian dominated backwards leap into the middle ages.

Canadian Crisis: Government on Verge of Collapse
By Wes Rickards
CBN News Associate Producer

CBN.com – (CBN News) - The Canadian government is in chaos, and Prime Minister Paul Martin is mired in corruption. And that is why the opposition has made a move that could effectively topple the government.

Conservative Party Leader Stephen Harper stated, “Canadians need, and they want and deserve change, and to get that change we need a change in government."

With homosexual marriage and free health care, Canada has been a liberal mecca. Conservatives say Canada's generous welfare state has not improved its poverty problems.

And one poll says that 80 percent of Canadians believe its healthcare system is in crisis.

"The Canada that is imagined by Stephen Harper and the conservatives is starkly different from the Canada that we want to build," declared Prime Minister Martin.

The no-confidence vote means that all 308 seats in parliament will be up for grabs in a few weeks.

And that means that, going into the holidays, it is now the start of a bitter campaign season. But that does not mean the current government will give up its post or its liberalism without a fight.

Prime Minister Martin remarked, "Tonight, the opposition decided that forcing an election was more important than establishing benchmarks to reduce wait times for healthcare."

One recent poll showed that only 27 percent of Canadians trust their government to do what is right.

Another reason to vote Liberal. If Pat Robertson wants Harper, I am duty bound to vote against him.

(don't yell at me for subscribing to Robertson's website, how else am I gonna know what the asshole is up to?)

Nobody in their right mind would elect Harper except those idiots out west in AlbertaJesusland.

On the first day of campaigning he came out against the newly installed gay marriage right, that falls under the charter of rights and freedoms. Way to go. Keep it up and you'll scare everyone away like you did last time, Harper.

Now he's dangling that "cut the GST" which has ever economist in the country asking if he's insane.

2 days out of the gate, and he's still the same right wing idiot he always was.

Wonder how long the pouting "I don't want to talk to the media!" attitude will last if he loses this election? The guy's a sore loser.

Thanks for the eyeliner explanation, btw. Helps immensely!

A young man named Paul bought a donkey from an old farmer for $100.00.
The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day. When the farmer
drove up the next day, he said, "Sorry son, but I have some bad news...the donkey is on my truck, but he's dead." Paul replied, "Well then, just give me my money back."

The farmer said, "I Can't do that. I went and spent it already."

Paul said, "OK then, just unload the donkey anyway".

The farmer asked, "What are ya gonna do with him?"

Paul said, "I'm going to raffle him off."

To which the farmer exclaimed, "You can't raffle off a dead donkey!"

But Paul, with a big smile on his face, said "Sure I can. Watch me.
I just won't tell anybody that he's dead."

A month later the farmer met up with Paul and asked, "What happened
with that dead donkey?"

Paul said, "I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars a piece and made a profit of $698.00."

Totally amazed, the farmer asked, "Didn't anyone complain that you
had stolen their money because you lied about the donkey being dead?"

And Paul replied, "The only guy who found out about the donkey being
dead was the raffle winner, when he came to claim his prize. So I gave
him his $2 back plus $200 extra, which is double the going value of a
donkey, so he thought I was a great guy."

Paul grew up and eventually became the Prime Minister of Canada, and
no matter how many times he lied or how much money he stole from Canadian voters, as long as he gave them back some of the stolen money, most of them thought he was a great guy.

Still beats having a Conservative government. That's awfully telling, isn't it?

Only if you live in the East and continue to make the same mistakes over and over against during the election votes.

No, as in it's telling that the Conservatives and their bigoted, narrowminded Bush-loving platform is so hated that we'd vote liberal crooks back in just to keep them out.

We've seen what Conservatives do to this country. They run it into the ground with debt and deficits, download programs onto municipalities that can't cope with them and basically halt any social progress and christianize everything.

No thanks.
