What is your opinion of the Aboriginals? Are they well treated as a whole or are they too isolated on some reservation to live a truly horrid life? This is the most common type of reservation. That being said, there are also many prosperous and highly functioning reservations too.

I was surprised because I know you have had a lot of contact with natives, so I truly didn't understand what you meant by that question. It sounded to me like you thought they would be less likely to be suffering if they lived on an isolated reserve.

We stayed on a native reserve during canoe trips.

The kids threw rocks at each other for fun I'm serious, and these were big rocks, and they were whipping them!

Ahh... I should have wrote "...are they also isolated on some reservation to live a truly horrid life?"

I know all to well the terrible conditions on way too many reserves. Most living conditions are so far below any standard, it should be criminal. I know there are some that are healthy and thriving, but unfortunately they are still not the norm. Isolation almost always leads to the drug abuse, suicides, and all the other abuses that are way way too common.
