They've always been here. But they always shoot themselves in the foot and sabotage their desire for real power. This time Harper hired an image consultant and played it cool. But the facade is already slipping, and it won't be long before the running dogs (and mouths) are let loose.

To be perfectly honest, I am glad Harper got in with a minority. Now grimmy don't jump all over me, hear me out...

I am an Albertan by birth, but spent all my adult life in Ontario. I am currently in Alberta for a couple months.

I am what you would call for sure a Liberal, but I am so sick of the lies, pork-barreling, blah blah blah...

My family is hard-core Penticostal (YIKES!!) Conservative, so you can imagine the "discussions" we have had leading up to the election.

I truly think it is time for a change, but I too was scared shitless of Harper tearing down the progress made in gay rights, abortion etc...

So, even if Harper's government only lasts a year or two, I think we need to give him a chance, he can't do too much harm, he has to play nice nice with Layton and the Libs, so I say wait and see...

If he plays nice now, and keeps those slathering, homophobic ex-Reform party attack dogs of his leashed and muzzled, everyone will see just how NICE ol neocon Harper can be, and then might award him a majority in the next real election.

He's already started attacking gay marriage (asshole, i will shoot him myself if he tries to take my rights away) and is already bitching about "activist" judges, like ol Bush...

The Libs were tired and need a good party enema, and some fresh blood.... however, neocons are fucking scary fascist fuckbags and I refuse to even consider a government as worthy that would see me as a second class citizen riding unhappily in the back of the bus

Aye I saw this Harper guy on TV last night with some footage of a spech he had and his eyes are creppy. Like drunk-glossed alien eyes or something.
