These people cutting off the heads are NOT CRAZY OR STUPID. They are doing this for calculated reasons: they want to have their own who are imprisoned released, and they want to destroy morale and affect public opinion to help in getting their aim-to get the US and other Westerners out of Iraq. The kidnapping and killing of Margaret Hassan was a calculated means to get a specific end. The fact that it did not work-that the result was in fact a backlash from many of the Iraqi people, should have told them that they made a mistake and went too far in killing an innocent who had been helping the Iraqi people for over 20 years. One would think that they would realize that if killing someone like her would not work, then killing ANYONE in that way would not work. the IRA finally got it when they went too far at Omagh in N. Ireland-you would think these Iraqi terrorist would get it as well. To suggest that they are incapable of seeing this is the naive thing, IMO. these people are not crazy-the attacks at the WTC were not doen by crazxy people..they were very calculated and planned attack which were successful in bringing about what had been planned. They were barbaric and atrocious but not crazy. Same with the killers of Hassan..at some point they will see that these tactics will not work and stop..or they may simply think the West has not had enough of these tactics yet and will continue to do them for some time, still hoping for the original result. they may be brutal, and even mistaken in this belief..but to suggest they are incapable of learning from mistakes, that they are crazy and out of control(which is what was implied) is naive in my view. IMO. don't like it too damn bad.
