Cool topic, I started losing my hair when I was twenty in 1987, so I noticed it in my rock heroes as well. I am a big Crue fan and am now 45. If you go back to wildside video 87' you can see a lot of skin showing on the crown of Nikki's head. I am thinking hair piece because in showing up to letterman in convertible in 08, he was getting hair blowing in the wind action then turned where you could see the back of his head" huge bald spot". That said, he is still one of my rock heroes/fellow recovering addict and if I would have had a million $ maybe I would have gotten some hair restoration too. I think he looks pretty rad for a nearly 54 y/o rocker who ingested enough hard drugs to o.d. regularly for a period back in the mid to late eighties. Keep on rocking Nikki, I think it is safe to say that he inspires millions, puts his $ where his mouth is, and gives back largely to Covenant House among other charities.-Crue Cut-

Most of those 80s dudes are using some kind of hair replacement scheme by now, unless they've gone the Rob Halford route. Nikki's is better than most. Way better than, say, Bret Michaels.

To be fair, bret michaels is a pretty low bar. Nikki's rug looks pretty bad, but it's hard to tell if it's a wig or regrowth treatment. Aint natural, whatever it is.
