What I don't understand is how these celebs allegedly have repeated PS with new noses, eyes, brows, implants etc yet we never see them bandaged and bruised for weeks on end like 'normal' people would be after that amount of drastic surgery. They never seem to go AWOL and the paps still get regular pics of them out and about or on the red carpet. Not saying they don't have work done - I'd just love to know how they recover from it so quickly.

Your nose DOES get fuller during pregnancy on MANY cases. It goes down after a while.

You don't need more than a week (the time with the cast) to recover from a nose job for example - and many just don't bruise. There are hardly people with bruising that stays for longer than 1-2 weeks and girls can cover it with make up.

Hmmmmmm well most of the PS people I know - you know Real Life people - look like they were run over by a bus for the first month after surgery and these celebs never seem to 'disappear' for that long. Make up does not cover stitches, healing scars, bruises, etc let alone the dressings you have to wear.

I thought she got her eyes done. Her eyes look different to me. Perhaps it's just the makeup.

You commented on noses - and in this case you only have a cast for about a week and bruising doesn't last longer than 10-12 days. And fillers injections/eyelid work/botox etc. are even much easier, surgically and recovery wise.

I read some tabloids this week, all about JLo and her new babies, and in every picture, it looked like she had an eye lift. Her eyes now slant upward and look way too tight.
Anybody else see this?

No. My comment was about facial PS in general. I'm sure a new nose does heal pretty quickly but if you have any other surgical proceedure (face lift, brow lift, eye bag removed, implants, etc etc) you look like you've done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson afterwards. My point is that these celebs who've obviously had lots of work don't disappear off the radar for as long a you'd think post surgery. I think there are some pics of Michael Jackson with his head wrapped in bandages like a mummy but otherwise we don't see anyone. Big sunglasses cover a multitude of sins but even so. I'm just curious.

There are some special tricks - taking Arnica pills and/or eating pineapple/drinking pineapple juice/takin Bromalein supplements which is a pineapple extract - can help with bruising. Also, there are special anti-inflammentory drugs that the surgeon injects while performing the surgery.
