That was a fad at the time...to be a 'silver' blonde. You'll notice the same effect on Farrah. I think it started with Julie Christie, who was naturally 'silver' but I'm not sure.

I think it suited her better, nowadays her wigs seems to be pineapple blonde. It clashes with her skin.
