Well, not gonna do it. I had too many concerns to be able to go through with it with any kind of certainty, and that's just setting it up for failure IMO.
Thanks for all the input, guys, and good luck with your surgeries!

I'm a little late to this thread, but I had a chin implant in 2010 and I absolutely love it. My side profile has always bothered me and I finally decided to get it fixed. My doctor wanted to do a small chin implant, but I asked for something larger to give a broader profile to my face and to bring my chin out to where it should be in my profile. After it was over, the doctor agreed that the larger one was much better and actually filled out my face and profile. It was the best money I ever spent.
I didn't tell anyone that I was having it done, took off work on Thursday and was back to work the following week (Wednesday I think). I had minimal bruising that cleared up before I went back to work. I had to wear a chin strap for the first 5 days, 24 hours each, but after that I just had to sleep in it for another 30 days. I also had lipo under the chin to enhance it. I was pretty fit at the time, weighing in at about 185 lbs at 6'1", but my chin needed help. Seriously, it was a great decision and one that I certainly dont regret.
