I would consider having it done. My chin is only slightly weak, so I would only want something subtle. Good chin implants really can change the whole look of your face.

I think having a weak chin is worse than even having a bad nose. I can totally see why someone would want this surgery.

Chins are often taken for granted especially if yours isn't bad. I have a friend who had a chin implant with her nose job and I didn't realize how much it would improve her face until after she had it done.

And men with bad chins simply aren't quite the lookers.. I've seen some dudes whose (lack of) chin I can't get past.
I personally know a guy that has his double chin, as a chin, and it's quite gnarly.

ps. Chin is a funny word, isn't it?

So, holy necro, but has anyone here had this done?
Supposed to do it next month, but am starting to chicken out - in all the after pics I've seen online the jaw looks wider & the chin kind of bulbous, for an overall rather masculine look. I like the front of my face, don't want it to change, it's just the profile I wanted to improve.

There are injectable chin implants, more subtle, less invasive, and permanent (not like collagen or other temporary fillers). I forget what it's called though. I've been considering having this done but I don't have the 700+ to do it.

Genioplasty can give a more natural result than an implant plus it has the advantage of using your own bone (cut at an angle and then slid forward) as opposed to a silicone or porex implant.

I'm getting a genioplasty in June, it seems to be a good choice because it's the bone and not an implant, so no worries about replacing it and it can be more subtle.

Do we get before and after pics of your chins?
