Last night, I was flipping channels and came across this very old movie called Flirting.
this is her back in 91' (looks almost like Janet Jackson in this poster) -->
She looked way different in this movie (but of course, she was years younger then) and it made me think maybe she's had some skin lightening and a nose job. I couldn't find any screen caps from this movie but you really gotta watch it to see how different she used to look.
 Nose job?
(you can click on them to enlarge but I don't think I did them right? Help...)

Yeah, very likely nosejob, its so small now! I dont know about skin lightening though, I tend to not buy that sort of thing.. I mean people tan and lighten naturally, so I dont know about that.

How on earth do they do it?? Do they literally bleach the skin? If so, how do they manage to do it so even and not blotchy!..

you can inhibit melanin (vitamin c, some kind of berry, licorice extract, etc), and hydroquinone physically bleaches the skin...or inhibits melanin i forget

You might need to ask Michael Jackson how he did his!!
In this movie Flirting though, Thandie had the colouring of a black person. Now she looks like she has the colouring of someone mixed or latin.
I have some skin lightening products (toner, lotion, cream, makeup base, you name it I got it ) and do use them. One of them is Christian Dior serum, I think it's called something like Snow something something (sorry too lazy to go look). I think the hydroquinone concentration is very low, so it works rather slowly over time and not get blotchy. I used to go to a tanning salon few years back and so now I wanted to get rid of the tan. But I think celebs use whole different kind of products for skin bleaching. I kind of imagine them soaking in a tub filled with actual bleach.

Michael Jackson probably soaked himself in a tub of bleach.
