Nikki Sixx - naturally blessed or a bit of "preservation" going on??

Love the man, but have to admit this is tingly my smutty senses (as Lainey would put it)

He's almost 50. Looks VERY well preserved for his age, particularly given the hell he put his body through over the years.

Do you think he's had any surgical assistance? Particularly his face - there have been recent photos where I can't quite work out if things are stretched tight or if he's just wearing foundation.

Any ideas?

- these sort of shots aren't really that helpful I guess, because he's obviously wearing make up in a photo shoot. But that photo's hot...

In candid photos with Kat, he definitely doesn't look as if he's had any work done. The age difference between them really amplifies how old he looks, if anything!

Imo, it's extremely rare to see a recovering drug addict and alcoholic with wrinkle free skin at his age. It's either really good makeup and lighting, or he's had some work done. Or maybe both, because his eyebrows look pulled back in the pic of him with that cute little doggy.

ah good point, looks like he's had botox done, see how only the outer parts of his eyebrows move up?

The photos that really made me go "hang on a minute" were at the Crue Fest press conference.

Look at the third photo along, of Nikki biting his nails or something and looking up. And the very last one, where he's talking.

I really can't tell if he's wearing a LOT of foundation, or if his skin is suspiciously tight.

(Either way, he's fucking HOT. For his age and for all time!!)

That is exactly what makes me wonder!

If he was just your average 49 year old, I'd accept it. But a 49 year old recovering junkie and boozer??

Someone's got phenomenally good genetics and skin, or he's had some help. (and if it's the former... lucky bastard!!

Given his hard living rock n' roll lifestyle, I would be surprised if he has not had some (amazingly good) work done. Things don't have to fall apart at 50.

I'm not voting for surgery. Not yet, anyhow. I think the way the skin sits around his cheekbone and lips would have been altered.

Botox and fillers - and the recency of both - can determine how stretched, shiny or tight he'll look, particularly if he combines it periodically with something like the Accent laser in some specific spots (to preserve his jawline). that's why in some shots you can see mild, but natural looking lines that are appropriate and enhancing because they avoid the plastic look.

It goes to show that a combo of therapies over time with some good genes can head off the need for more drastic surgeries by 50.

Add to the fact that the man must know more make-up and lighting tricks than Tyra and all MAC artists combined, he's gonna look pretty good, despite coming back from the dead.

Also the grooming of his eyebrows changes over time. I do dying and reshaping, and the years can come off quite a bit.
