As Hollywood legends they have played their fair share of tough guys.


But despite being macho role models, Clint Eastwood, Kirk Douglas and Sylvester Stallone appear to be new men when it comes to looking after their skin.

Which rather begs the question - have they had a bit of remedial work to stave off the ravages of time?
They were among the glittering array of A-list talent attending the 40th birthday party of the American Film Institute, also attended by Julie Andrews, Warren Beatty and Billy Crystal among others.

Sylvester Stallone, 61, Clint Eastwood, 77 and Kirk Douglas, 90 all look years younger



Douglas, who at the age of 90, has clearly put a heroic struggle against Father Time, with barely a wrinkle on the face that so many years ago famously played Spartacus, which was being honoured at the event.
Eastwood, who was there for western film Unforgiven, also appeared to have ironed-out any bags or wrinkles, as he belied his 77-years-of-age.

Billy Crystal is one of the youngest of out of the bunch of Hollywood legends at 59, but still looks quite youthful as does 70 year-old Warren Beatty


The glamourous bash offered up the rather bizarre scene of a host of Hollywood legends all gathered in the same bar.
Stallone was chomping on pineapple and glancing across the bar at Clint Eastwood as Angela Lansbury stared at Jack Nicholson and Julie Andrews laughed with Billy Crystal.
At a theatre bar before the screenings, Douglas sat as Andrews and others came up to say hello. Stallone settled by the fruit plate before shaking hands with Lansbury, who popped a cheese square into her mouth.
Andrews was there for The Sound of Music made in 1965, Beatty for Bonnie and Clyde in 1967, Crystal and Rob Reiner for When Harry Met Sally in 1989. Tippi Hedren was also there for The Birds from 1963, while Lansbury attended for 1991 fim Beauty and the Beast.

Gotta come to my decrepit baby's defence: I love him
to death, but to call his super wrinkly skin youthful is
ridiculous. I think he looks older than his 70 years:
very wrinkly skin, turkey neck, liver spots, hair loss,
bony hands, pot belly.... nah, (un?) fortunately
time and mother nature are not so kind to Mr. Beatty.

Yes to Stallone of course. The others may have had a little botox, but not overdone. Billy Crystal looks weird.

Stallone, definately. I don't think Kirk Douglas looks THAT young, forchristssake! What 80-85? BFD.

Clint may have some tweaking, but it doesn't look overdone.

I think Warren aged well. I'm not sure if he's had work done.

I think Warren looks pretty good for his age. That 50 year old picture is too damn funny though.
Billy Crystal looks bloated and Sly, well, we all know he's going to age badly, just look at his mother.

More like stilts or stilletos (sp)! He's very height sensitive (among
other things) so I guess when he heard that tall guys Clint, Rob and
Warren were also invited, he took out the Frankenstein sport shoes.
(BTW: Clint, Rob and EVEN 6'2" Warren are wearing thick soled, yet
liftless (inside), shoes too.)
