Re: Before and after teeth makeovers
Fay Dunaway shares the same dentist as Hilary Duff?

Re: Before and after teeth makeovers
I just can't get past the fact that the original tooth has to be grinded down to a stump! How could Hilary do that? Her teeth looked better before. The rest, I can understand.

Re: Before and after teeth makeovers
They all look better, except Hilary Duff. All she needed was a little tooth whitening.

Their teeth do look better, but it's too perfect.

Re: Before and after teeth makeovers
I don't understand why they have to make the teeth longer - we naturally have shorter teeth and that's what we expect to see - their veneers makes them look horsey

Re: Before and after teeth makeovers
They don't grind teeth down to a stump. That is only if you are getting those screw in teeth. With veneers they just file down some of the tooth.
ps. They all look heaps better.

Re: Before and after teeth makeovers
I wish they didn't have to do the "Chicklet" look. If they could be more natural, a tiny bit crooked, or not GLEAMING white.

Re: Before and after teeth makeovers
I noted that CZJ's eye makeup is exactly the same as her 1987 picture, except that she now wears really long fake eyelashes. OT, I know...

Re: Before and after teeth makeovers
After seeing all that work and everything money can buy for these people, I still don't understand why there are people who strive to look like them. They are just as ordinary as the rest of us... aside from being totally revamped/artificial versions of who they once were in order to look "nice".

Re: Before and after teeth makeovers
i'm sorry, but those are all scary as hell; teeth should not look like a big white brick across your face; imperfect teeth add character and life to a face although whitening is always an improvement.

Re: Before and after teeth makeovers
Faye Dunaway's teeth were definitely unattractive before, but I think they look absolutely ridiculous now. Did she add a few extra?? And I will never understand why Hilary Duff felt the need to fix her teeth. She had a great, youthful smile before.
Regarding the grinding down of teeth, today's veneers require very little removal of tooth structure to bond. Crowns, on the other hand, require grinding the tooth down to a stump, and implants (screw-in teeth), are to replace teeth that are missing altogether, so no grinding necessary.

Oh! I read the Zeta Jones description and the doctor described it that way.
I found this though, and you're right. http://www.mynewsmile.com/porcelainveneerprocedure.htm
Ah, just read tictac's post, thanks!
