Default Will Smith and his new face

After seeing this video in another thread I thought it's about the time for a Will Smith plastic surgery thread:

What the hell did he do to his face? It looks awful and plastic.

I don't find any good pictures of it but the vid shows it the best. His face is barely able to do expressions anymore.

It doesn't look like PS, to me. Maybe Botox for lines?

I see someone who has spent many, many hours trying to make his "needle float" which is the state of emotional vacancy that Scientology calls Clear. After attaining this perfect unemotional state, a Scientologist then practices the regular emotions of lesser people to imitate them when necessary.

Interesting. He looked totally unrecognizeable on the posters of that movie he did with his son but I figured that was probably photoshop.

He looks embalmed, yet also with a hint of Samuel Jackson around the eyes.

No, I'm not. I was an observer during the great Scientology vs The Internet war of the '90s. Many late nights were spent reading up on the baroque processes and training, which back then was super secret info. Talked with some Scientologists and exes, as well.

One of their drills is called bull baiting, where your auditor gets in your face, screams and insults you for hours, and the subject is not even allowed to blink...or it starts all over again. The auditor is supposed to be very cruel, using everything they have gleaned from your counseling sessions with them. If you can maintain a neutral expression without blinking for a few hours of that, you are close to being Clear and free of your Reactive Mind.

It really warps a person. Because after getting broken down by those drills, a Scientologist is then expected to rebuild an emotional relationship to the world using "correct" reactions that mimic the pathetic non-Scientologists who aren't Clear yet.

The pain and sensory distortion of it causes some trippy experiences, I'm told. All a part of the road to enlightenment...

Will Smith used to be so hot, so was Tom Cruise. Now they both just look so weird. I agree about the emotional affect. It's like they're just acting everything out. Just like when Tom was with Katie, he was just too over the top exuberant about the whole thing. When you see him interviewed IRL he's always trying to put on this intense, serious facade. It's just so creepy and now Will Smith has caught it too.
