Kim Basinger says: have surgery if it makes you feel better

Actress KIM BASINGER is shocked by the rising popularity of plastic surgery procedures, but insists people should do whatever they want if it makes them feel good.

The 9 1/2 WEEKS star believes a lot of people become addicted to changing things about themselves, but is not opposed to having work done in the future.

She explains, "I think you should do what you want to do to make yourself feel better. I don't care what.

"I think you should do anything to make yourself feel confident and good and hope you get a really good surgeon.

"It's crazy, it's gone nuts with Botox and everything else, it's like wildfire with people having to have surgery all the time.

"But I do think that there are cases where people feel more confident and better about themselves if they do a little something."

Well as long as people are informed about what they are doing, and aren't famous and then LIE about having work done, then I have to agree with her. Especially as you get older, I can certainly see having a few minor things done myself(not that I could possibly afford anything)

Yeah, and that was filmed nearly three years ago. Remember the guy who was the asshole attorney? Someone I know, knew during the filming and it was filmed long ago. Take a look at some episodes of the recently (since Sept.) filmed episodes of "Thief" and tell me she's so gorgious now.

...and I'm an idiot.. I just went searching for Kim photos from "Thief" and I have her confused with Linda Hamilton who's looking very long in the tooth now. Too damn many blondes in Hollyweird that look too much alike. Interchangable Barbie dolls.

I thought Kim was stunning way back and I still think she's beautiful. When I see the commercial for the new movie with Eva Longaria and her I get pissed over the hoopla over Eva and not Kim.
It seems female actors only have a window of about 5 years of majot stardom yet actors like Michael Douglas, Brad Pitt, Tom Crazy, Johnny Depp... get better roles with age.
Is it a wonder women are obsessed with their appearance?

53, she looks maybe 40. I saw her in "The Sentinel" today, she looked very pretty as the first lady. She plumped her lips up a tad. They were always full but in "Cellular" they were getting some lines, now they have none I could see.

^Also, alot of people mistake plastic surgery as being the answer to their image problems; some people get something 'fixed' and theyre happy with it, while other people are never satisfied because they are too obsessed with their appearance.
