I dont find him ugly either. Im suprised how fast he moved on from Hilary though, I thought they were going to get married. In interviews they always seemed so keen on each other.

Her outfit looks like stuff I used to wear when I was 13 or 14 and we would try to be all New Wavey/Go-Go's in my basement, while watching MTV and giggling about the boys we liked.
