Re: Meg Ryan and her newly adopted daughter 1/26
I swear, babies are the newest Hollywood accessory.
Your maternal feelings start to itch, but you don't want to ruin your body, or not be able to slip into those little dresses anymore? Do the right thing and buy a baby, preferably from some underdeveloped country so it may even look like a good deed from your pov.
NEVER use a stroller! Either carry the kid on your arm until it's 15, to prove what a great parent you are, or after buying the kid, buy another fashion accessory > a nanny, to do the carrying for you. But if you're really, really a star, you NEVER use a stroller.

Way to make yourself look good, Meg. Sheesh.
Say what you want about Britney, but at least she always seems to be holding her baby, and I don't think I've ever seen a nanny in any of the pics either.

I've thought this same thing! Evidently so. Can you imagine these kids stories when the tell all on their parents.

Re: Meg Ryan and her newly adopted daughter 1/26
It amazes me that people make assumptions about someone's entire life based on a couple of photographs. Maybe Meg holds her new baby a lot, and for some reason, just happend to be not holding her when this pic was taken.
I've never had much use for Meg, but this is getting silly.

Meg had to get back in the news somehow and the baby is a good way to get publicity. Cute baby.

You beat me to the punch, Pacific! I recognize this is a site to bash celebrities, but, goddammit, talk about what you fucking know, folks! This is not video footage, people! It's a godamn picture! It's a moment in time, a moment! How do you know Meg didn't ask whoever it is (you all just assume it's a nanny) to hold the child while she goes to get the car? "Wait here while I pull the car around." Is that an entirely foreign concept?
And it just kills me, all the snide suppositions about why she chose to adopt. I'll bet none of you stopped to think about why she may have chosen to adopt a Chinese girl until muchlove mentioned it, eh? Yeah, that's what I thought...

Shows what you know. Meg Ryan has always preferred her privacy and hates unnecessary attention. So there!

Agreed.
I also know plenty of regular people who have a nanny from the time their child is born (because the mother plans on going back to work and you need to see the nanny interact with the child before you hand him/her to the nanny full-time), and, yes, sometimes I've seen the nanny HOLD THE CHILD! *gasp* That doesn't mean the parents aren't loving that kid 24/7.
