I think it is far more important to give a woman respect for daring to go out there with her real face, her real body, her real self, than to give respect to a poster that calls her "wrinkled like a prune" or "aging badly" or whatever. I mean Jesus Christ, it's just a few line on the face, when laughing hard or smiling hard, who gives a fuck! Happens to everyone. Sooner or later I agreee about ridiculous standards and ageism and about people learning all over again what a real person's face looks like instead of the awful botoxed and unnaturally stretched faces. THOSE are not real life or real people.

    yep exactly! and she is.

also she's an actress and has been one for about 20 years I believe (b/c she was in movies at least in her teens but i digress) and actors have to use their face and its epressions much much much more than regular ppl and repeatedly take after take after take. just a thought.

And it really saddens me when women are some of the harshest critics of women
    yeah i agree ^

yeah or you dont know the definition of the word "wrinkle" or you've never expressed an emotion in your life.

one thing to remember is that actreeses frown all the time because they're selfish and cranky and insecure (yes, like me). they get deep frown lines. one actress who had them young was katie holmes. lindsay lohan has them. on the flip side she does have english soft baby face skin and that tends to wrinkle faster. kate, not lindsay.
    i laugh at lainey's name for lindsay-dirty face-funny

even young children get "wrinkles" around their eyes while smiling. This thread is kind of moot though cause she seems to have gotten botox for the oscars.

Kate is beautiful but her smile is unattractive. I dont know what it is, she's got perfect teeth and all, but her face crinkles up in an ugly way. If I could be bothered, i'd post pics.

Yup, my dermatologist told me that crow's feet are completely based on your facial structure and sun damage (genetics plays a role, too, of course).

I love Kate Winslet and I think it's awesome she hasn't gone ape sh*t over the whole botox/ps thing. Basically like a big EFF YOU to everyone, even if that could affect her job.

She's really beautiful but I'm sorry in that pic she reminds me of...
