There are people who wrinkle earlier than others. It's in the genes. I see nothing wrong with it. Better seeing her with wrinkles than frozen and expressionless.

I think she looks great. I think we are so accustomed in North America to seeing unnaturally young (fake) people, that we think THAT is normal, when it is not. That said, aging is genetic. I don't have many wrinkles, and neither does my mother, and neither one of us is a spring chicken. But we have always taken care of our skin, too. You can't leave everything to good genes.

Also, its a pretty close-up pic.

She does have more wrinkles than maybe most women her age . . . but we all love her anyway.

I think she looks good. I had a fair skinned red haired friend who had very deep wrinkles like this at a very early age.

I'm surprised she's so heavily wrinkled at 31. Good for her for not doing the botox and everyone's going to age at a different rate. I don't like her but I have no good reason for it. I don't think I've seen her in one single movie so I can't call her a bad actress. She just bugs me for some reason.

Agreed! There is nothing wrong with her face, it is just NORMAL. Everyone has these lines when the pic is so upclose as well, and laughing intensely. I wish more of these famous actresses had beautiful, able to laugh faces.

Yeah, you are right Pandora. And if you look at Naomi Watts and Elizabeth Hurley, oh, and even Sienna who are all British they all have those similar facial expression with same marks like Kate's here. So, it only shows character!

I don't like her smile....and I'm glad I'm olive skinned and not fair skin because it seems as if fair skin wrinkles prematurely.

I guess this is why so many hollywood stars do the mean 'n' moody pout expression, it's far more 'flattering' than actually smiling and (god forbid) wrinkling!!

Having said that, I've just pulled the same face as Kate in that picture and was disturbed at the amount of wrinkles it generates on my face. I think I will be using sun-cream from now on!
