    Coming from someone who swam competitively for 12 years it's fairly common to burn out in the young 20's. Usually the swimmers at his level have been swimming since they were 6 or 7 years old and by the time 22 rolls around you are pretty tired of being in the pool 4 hours a day! It's rare that there are swimmers who are able still compete at the Olympic level in their late 20's - though I realize it does happen occasionally.

    I fully agree though, swimmers, especially male swimmers, have the best bodies. I love that long lanky look.
