^I have never heard of what you'll are speaking off. In the US everywhere, you have the option of paper/plastic for free. A charge on that seems incomprehensible!
There's only one grocery store, "Whole Foods" that sells green cloth bags as an option to the standard paper/plastic freebies.

Very wasteful really, isn't it? The idea is to encourage people to reuse bags rather than clog up landfill with them - if you want a new plakky bag you have to pay towards the cost of its disposal. Seems reasonable to me.
A big boy did it and ran away.

^Yeah, i do wish we'd make more changes on a whole, since those being extremely wasteful would stick out more. There is only one state I know of, and that is Washington State- they require you to wash out your plastic bottles before disposal on trash days.

Absolutely no way in hell is he 6 foot. I stood next to him and found it strange that he was so short for a basketball player. She's not 5"2. She must be way shorter. I'd say 4" 11.

Ooooooh Eva..... Plastic bags aren't the ONLY bags that chic is sportin'! Nice Saddlebags in that last pic. I've been seeing them alot here lately.

Laundry baskets would be a GREAT addition to the "bring home groceries" debacle....I'm game, but I would be looked at as an idiot (then again, I DO live in the South...I should be used to it by now).

actually there are some stores that discount your totals when you bring in your own bags- recycled plastic ones, cloth or whatever, berkeley bowl for example....plus in the bay area (California) it's common to re-use or recycle, even at chains like safeway & andronico's.....

Ok, so totally off the topic of Eva & Tony........

I live in WA and washing plastic is not necessary anymore.

There are several stores around Seattle that sell the cloth bags and give you a small discount when you use it and/or re-use your paper & plastic bags
