She's pale, that is natural.
I am very pale and people are always telling me to get a tan.
Since when do we have to change our skin colour? Chalk that up with the shaving and hair dying and makeup and clothes etc... a lot of work!
I prefer this to orange and sparkly!

Amen!
That's her skin, people. There are plenty of people who are naturally as pale as that, believe it or not, and most of us look like shit when we tan. We turn beetroot red, get covered in freckles, or just look unwashed... both my little brother and I sometimes got blisters on our shoulders from the sun on summer vacations, even with strong sunscreen and clothes, because we have fair skin and we were in the sun bathing all the time.
I maintain this kind of pallor the best I can, too - and I certainly don't stay indoors all the summer! I wear proper sunscreen, everybody should - skin cancer doesn't appeal to me. I wear longer skirts and pants and try to cover up, and I like to sit in the shade when it's hot. That's really all it takes.
Geez, if I were to go on about someone with unusually dark skin like this, you'd all be calling me a racist...
