I agree! Thanks to Extra I've now seen the video about 40 times (seems someone in their editing room got some sort of pervert pleasure of showing the "dropping" as many times as possible in a 2 minute segment), there was no danger of her actually dropping him. She did have a really good grip on him, and any video shown in slow motion is going to look bad.

Whether or not she kept the drink in her hand wouldn't have made a difference. If anything her grip on both her baby and the drink automatically became harder once she tripped - how many of us would loosen our grip with one hand while tightening the other in a split second? If that were me the baby would've ended up wet when I flung the drink hand around to clutch him with both hands. Had Britney done that the headline would've been "BRITNEY TRIES TO DROWN BABY"

I don't agree with a lot of her choices but she's really being unfairly treated. If you were to take any new mother and put them under the microscope you'd find dozens of things they're doing wrong, and most of those would occur because they're under constant scrutiny.

As for those who say she chose this life of celebrity - so? She "chose" it at a very young age - what 8 yr old is going to know what that means? Would she really know any better at 16? Or even at 20? And why should celebrity include being stalked by people who get higher paychecks each time she dares to be human? Especially when some of them purposely provoke celebrities to get a better picture.

I think there should be a law banning paparazzi from following any celebrity when they're with their children. The children didn't choose that life and they shouldn't be subjected to the pitfalls.

It's kinda disturbing to me that in the above stills (and even more evident in the video), I see that the porno bodyguard is more interested in keeping the balance of Britney than actually 'catching' 'lil Cheeto.

His hand is clearly not trying to catch Sean--it's to catch her.

P.S. I still can't get over how much she resembles Pamela Anderson in these pics.

Western, whether she had "a good grip" or not, the kid's head was flung backwards, which could easily lead to head and spinal damage, especially in such a young child. She was just lucky her negligence didn't lead to that in this case.

You know, much as I dislike Ol' Britbrit I'm beginning to feel sorry for her. She is a young, first time mother, famous or not. Accidents like that would make anyone feel bad but to have the press jump on your back and tear you to shreds (and I wonder would this have happened if she wasn't being bustled around by the press so much) would pretty much kill me, anyway.

My understanding of babies is that they're pretty tough little bastards, they'd have to be or else we wouldn't be where we are today.

Ugh, I dunno. Good luck to her. I hope she stays out of trouble and moves to Bangalore or somewhere far far away from all the paparazzi.

I agree first time moms have to learn a lot & have it rough and babies fall, mistakes happen, but seriously, when they are continually happening, take a parenting class, get some advice from other mothers, learn to read books. When it's every week, sometimes more then once a week, I loose the pity. And truthfully, what would Britney be without the paparazzi - she doesn't do anything. I think she knows she needs the attention, that's why she's always galivanting from one restaurant to the next. There are lots of celebrities that have their privacy - Brit chose this!

First i dont get why is she wearing those shoes thingys when she is pregnant? Second..she could have just put Sean in a baby carrier (im obsessed)..or stroller. I guess we all learn from her mistakes..

Lawdy. We have come full circle in this argument.

No matter how well the No Sympathy For Britney Camp argues their points, somebody always comes along & says something like that. Arg.

With that logic, she shouldn't get slammed for not wearing a strapless bra. You can go into any local WalMart & see the same unphotographed offense at least a dozen times.
