She just looks like someone's grandma -- maybe a little PS,
    but she's certainly no freakshow.

It was gracious of them to invite her -- perhaps they're worried
that she's due to kick off.

no busan..they invited her cause she's a legend...back when she was a little girl (if you could believe that) she was one or if not the best talented child stars ever! she puts alot of the child stars today to shame!

^^ I heard the story of how she was dumped, actually, in the 1930s
when people were no longer going to her pictures. Studio head Lew
Wasserman brought her into his office and said something like,
'you're through kid. All washed up. Here, have a tissue.'

    Yes, he was that blunt.

I don't know how normal a life she led. She went into politics as a Republican and served the United States as its representative to the United Nations, ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia, and chief of protocol under Nixon, Ford and Reagan.

Since she was three years old she has excelled. An entire life spent well. More than I can say for me! The cutest child star in history - bar none!

Yes Shirlie is one of my all time favorites. She looks great. I'd like to know who the freak show is standing next to her. Is it Shelly Fabre?

I know the name Shirley Temple very well but I could never picture her face and I had no idea why she was famous. What did she star in as a child?

I guess it is. I haven't seen her since the 80s.

She looks really different; and I don't just mean because of time.
I always remember her as having a narrow jaw for some reason
