For a woman who is 52 and suffering from rheumatoid arthritis..I'd say she looks pretty good.
You can't stay young and beautiful forever

The dark hair color is too harsh and not doing her any favors: lighter hair is more flattering to "women of a certain age." (I know: I am one!)

She looks a lot like my grandmother, very similar features. But my grandmother looked better than this at 60, and she smoked 3 packs a day. What the hell has Kathleen been doing to herself?

I don't see how rheumatoid arthritis is going to transform you
into a walrus. She let herself go years ago.

Re: Kathleen Turner - 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' photocall in London
the amount of weight in her face seems out of proportion to the amount on her body. If you look at her body she is really not that big. If you look at here face it looks like she is really heavier than she is. If you just look at the face pics and then look at the full body pics she looks like she would have a much larger body. Makes me think with the somewhat abnormal weight distribution she may have some medication effects showing here. Anybody else seeing this???

Well, steroids, which are used in the treatment of arthritis, have a way of blowing people up. So do other drugs -- Teri Garr is another example of someone who looks bloated and puffy from her medication.
So these women should be thin and dead? I don't get your point.

Silly me -- I had no idea they treated it with steroids; I thought she
might've just been making an excuse (cf. "asthma attack" for overdose).

It's the medication. There's Prednison involved which gives one the bloated moon face and also screws with ones metabolism.
