I don't think I could watch a movie about 9/11. It was upsetting and traumatic enough seeing the real thing.

I think its waaay too soon to do a movie about 9/11.

and i dont like him either - i dont think hes ever even done a movie where he wasnt the hero; but i dont think he can be a hero in this one. boo thumbs down

^^ Do you mean the lead or do you mean heroic? He used to do
all sorts of roles where he was edgy and psychotic and chewed a
lot of scenery. He really only started doing dumb hero movies
with Con Air (1996) -- right after the comparatively dismal financial washout
of Leaving Las Vegas (1995).

Guilty admission: I think Nic Cage is hot. I loved him in City of Angels and particularly Matchstick Men. Disappointed he married some underage cocktail waitress, it seems to be lasting longer than he previous attempts at wedded bliss.

I don't think we should be too precious about a 9/11 movie. Provided it's handled sensitively I am sure there are lots of untold stories that need to be told. I recently read a very moving article in Vanity Fair by the widow of a fireman who was killed on that terrible day and although it was a tragedy it was also strangely inspiring. Crass as Hollywood is, I am sure even they won't dare portray any of those events in a disrespectful or sensationalistic way.
